On September 23rd and 24th, the Cordillera Festival will take place in Simon Bolivar Park in Bogota. Among the participating groups in this second event, the headliners include Juanes, Residente, Andrés Calamaro, Café Tacvba, and Los Ángeles Azules.

The festival was first held last year, and was a great success, attracting approximately 60,000 attendees over the two-day event. It is a festival that brings together Spanish music and environmental culture, featuring a mix of Latin American genres and showcasing both emerging artists and established musicians.

An environmentally conscious festival

One of the festival’s characteristics is the promotion and education of environmental values. In line with this, according to the radio station Radiónica, the organizers will campaign for the reforestation of the Páramo de La Cuchilla in Guasca (Cundinamarca) this year. For every ticket purchased, a native tree or plant will be planted in the region, located about 50 km northeast of Bogota.
