During the nights of Nov. 8, 9, and 11, 2025, the Hips Donโt Lie performer made history in Quito, becoming the first artist in Ecuadorโs history to sell out the nationโs main stadium three times consecutively. Fans began lining up early in the day, with many traveling not only from Ecuador but also from Colombia, Peru, and Chile.
Shakira delivered a show full of energy, emotion, and high-level production โ featuring massive screens, pyrotechnics, and choreography that blended her Latin roots with her international pop style.
Local media described the concerts as โan explosion of euphoria, fire, and talent.โ Each night, the audience sang along to hits spanning more than three decades of her career: Antologia, Ojos Asi, La Tortura, Hips Donโt Lie, and TQG, among others. The performance also included an emotional message from Shakira about female empowerment and resilience, two central themes of her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
The eventโs economic impact was remarkable. According to estimates from the Quito Chamber of Tourism, the three shows generated more than US$10 million in accommodation, transportation, and hospitality, positioning the city as one of the leading cultural hubs in the region.
