Colombian singer Shakira made a special announcement during her performance at Coachella on April 12th: the launch of her world tour “Las Mujeres Ya No LLoran” (Women no longer cry). This revelation came while she appeared as a special guest on the set of her friend, the Argentine DJ and producer Bizarrap, at the major festival held in Indio, California, United States.

During her performance, Shakira delighted the audience by performing two of her collaborations with Bizarrap, namely “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” and her latest electronic track, “La Fuerte” (The Strong One). Her trademark dance moves captivated the thousands of attendees at the Sahara stage of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Colombian artist J Balvin also performed.

The first dates of Shakira’s tour were announced on April 16th on her official website. It was revealed that the tour will kick off in North America with 14 dates starting on November 2nd, including cities such as Phoenix, Miami, and Chicago. This revelation had been teased during her performance at the festival, where Shakira exclaimed to the crowd “Today, I cannot contain my excitement. I have to share something with you, Biza, I’m going on tour, finally, starting here, this November, this year, in this city!”

Shakira’s world tour promotes her first album in 7 Years

Shakira released her first album in seven years on March 22nd of this year, which has the same name as her upcoming tour. The album features 17 tracks and boasts collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Cardi B, Rauw Alejandro, and Colombian sensation Manuel Turizo. Through her lyrical compositions, “La Loba” (She Wolf) as she calls herself, offers glimpses into her life in recent years, including her journey of pain and resilience following her breakup with ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique. Her personal growth is vividly portrayed in the visual elements accompanying the album, as Shakira transforms her tears into symbols of strength and resilience, symbolized by diamonds.
