The Documentary “Operation Hope” telling other story of the four children lost in the Amazon, will premiere on April 26 on Amazon Prime Video. The documentary will show how the rescue mission was executed with collaboration between the Colombian army and Indigenous Groups.

That is how Gloria “Goyo” Emilse Martinez described the location where the children were found in the trailer. Martinez, who will be the narrator of the documentary, is better known as the lead singer of the Colombian band, ChoQuibTown.

The four children at the time had ages ranging from between 1 and 13 years. They were traveling in a small plane when it crashed on May 1, 2023, in the heart of the Colombian Amazon. The lost indigenous children were not found until June 9, 2023.

It will include words from General Pedro Sanchez and the Indigenous leader who found the lost children, Dairo Mucutuy. It will also include the story the children told their families.

13-year-old Lesly Mucutuy, 9-year-old Soleiny Mucutuy, Tien Noriel Mucutuy, who turned 5 while in the jungle, and Cristin Mucutuy, who was just a 1-year-old, were the survivors of the plane crash. They were accompanied by three adults on the flight, who all died, including their mother.

The search operations for the lost children of the Amazon were orchestrated by the military. More than 100 soldiers of the Colombian special forces and 70 indigenous explorers looked through one of Colombia’s most remote and inhospitable regions. The story of the lost children of the Amazon had the country glued to their phones and TVs, and the documentary will give audiences the details of how this rescue took place.
