Cordillera, the most important Spanish-language music festival in Colombia

After starting three years ago, the Cordillera Festival has become a major event in the musical lineup of the Colombian capital. Already the most significant Spanish-language music event in Colombia, the event is a reference point for fans.

This festival is part of the important cultural package of the Colombian capital, with a diversity of styles that reflect the rich musical history of the city. From cumbia to alternative rock, Andean folklore, urban music and jazz, Bogota is a melting pot of influences that are reflected in the Cordillera Festival.

In its two previous editions, the festival brought together outstanding local and international artists, offering an eclectic sample of sounds and cultures. From legendary bands from the local scene to promising emerging talents, the Cordillera Festival stage has witnessed many memorable performances. Among the groups participating in previous years, names such as Cafe Tacvba, Andres Calamaro, Juanes, Jorge Drexler, Los Prisioneros, Residente and Bomba Estereo stand out.

The idea of the Cordillera Festival emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Ocesa and Paramo Presenta decided to join forces to create a Latin American music festival that would connect the diversity of the region, as the Andes mountain range does geographically.

They also sought to turn the festival into an act committed to the environment and to ecological practices used in massive events such as this one, hoping for it to serve as an example throughout the continent and the world.
