The legendary Tomorrowland Festival is bringing its CORE stage to Medellin, Colombia, as part of its 2024 edition. CORE is a two-day event which was launched by Tomorrowland in 2023, with a first edition in Tulum, Mexico.
This year, CORE will be staged in Medellin, the city of eternal spring and a Latin American hub for electronic music events. The festival will take place this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 11 & 12, running from 6PM to 5AM on both days.
This is the first time Tomorrowland has organized an event in Medellin. The lineup includes international electronic music figures, such as the DJ duo Bicep, Italian producers Agents of Time and the German DJ Kevin de Vries.
CORE will be hosted at Medellin’s Parque Norte, an event complex that recently staged the 2024 edition of the La Solar festival, which featured electro and house music superstars like Tiësto, Peggy Gou, the Chainsmokers and Disclosure.
Electronic music scene in Medellin and Colombia
Colombia is an extremely popular destination for electronic music enthusiasts. Cities like Bogota, Medellin and Cali have hosted major music events like the BAUM Festival or the Afterlife Festival, as well as leading artists like Carl Cox, Black Coffee or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Venues like club Theatron in Bogota or Salon Amador in Medellin are also renowned for the quality of their line-ups.
Organized every July in Belgium, the Tomorrowland festival spans two weekends and gathers hundreds of thousands of participants from around the world. Due to its success, the festival has expanded globally, organizing side events in various countries, including Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and France.
Tomorrowland CORE festival in Medellin is expected to attract tens of thousands of participants.
