The Navy Ship “Gloria” will set a new course in 2024 as it becomes an ambassador carrying Colombia’s brand through some of the world’s most iconic ports, thanks to an agreement established between the Navy and ProColombia.

The strategy, an innovative initiative, aims to promote business, trade, and tourism in Colombia through this floating ambassador that will navigate strategic ports between March and August next year. Washington, Lisbon, Barcelona, London, and Amsterdam are just a few of the stops this maritime giant will make.

Ambassador of Beauty and Opportunities

Under the slogan “Colombia, the country of beauty,” the navy ship will serve as a focal point for business meetings between Colombian entrepreneurs and locals at each port. Moreover, it will invite the Colombian diaspora in those countries to experience sensory delights on board, immersing themselves in the colors, aromas, and flavors that typify their country.

The initiative doesn’t stop there. A visual mapping exhibition will showcase Colombian cultural, ethnic, and gastronomic richness, from the vibrant landscapes of the Caribbean to the grandeur of the Amazon. This experience will take place both inside the ship and on its exterior facade, turning the navy ship into a floating ambassador of Colombia’s wealth.

Sensory Experiences and Nostalgic Delights

The project will include an immersive onboard experience, divided into five moments, allowing visitors to delve even deeper into Colombian culture. From the opportunity to taste the renowned specialty coffees to displaying images that evoke nostalgia for the country, this journey will be a truly multisensory experience.

Carmen Caballero, President of ProColombia, declared that the ‘Gloria’ will be a cultural emblem, advertising Colombia’s wealth of attractions and extending the invitation to explore this “country full of beauty.”

Meanwhile, German Umaña, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, emphasized the importance of highlighting Colombia’s beauty and its impressive landscapes, which make it an unforgettable destination for tourists and businessmen alike.
