In the latest edition of the annual World’s Best Cities report by prominent consultancy Resonance, Bogota, the capital city of Colombia, has positioned among the 100 best cities globally. This comprehensive study evaluates cities with populations exceeding one million, considering 24 metrics categorized under habitability, friendliness, and prosperity.

Bogota’s Unique Appeal

The Colombian capital, Bogota, ranks 81st, according to Resonance’s analysis. Describing it as “part cosmopolitan city and part high-fashion center with pure charm,” the consultancy highlights key elements contributing to its appeal.

The presence of skyscrapers adorning its skyline, its sophisticated center, and the focus on sustainability are emphasized. While acknowledging that changes are being implemented gradually and not without challenges, Resonance highlights the love and effort dedicated by Bogotans and visitors to raise the city’s profile on the world stage.

Rich History and Culture: Bogota is a treasure trove of history and culture dating back to pre-Columbian times. With 63 museums, over 60 cultural and heritage tourist attractions, and emblematic neighborhoods like La Candelaria, Chapinero, and Teusaquillo imbued with history, the city offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in its fascinating narrative.
