Burger Master 2024 is a gastronomical event organized by chef and businessman, Tulio Zoluaga. He is better known by his social media username, Tulio Recomienda (Tulio Recommends). He is a renowned “foodie” in Colombia, meaning that he is a content creator who centers his content around food.
The event takes place in some of the main cities in the country, and its main goal is to bring growth and exposure to small businesses in the country. Tulio Zoluaga has stated, “In this competition, it is estimated that more than 1,5 million burgers will be sold, and the total revenue will exceed COP$40.000 million.”

What started as a contest only taking place in Bogota, has morphed into a nationwide phenomenon. Participating cities and municipalities include Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Pereira, Bucaramanga, Armenia, Cartagena, and Barranquilla. But these are not the only locations. Manizales, Santa Marta, and Ibague also have participating restaurants. In total, more than 450 restaurants are participating in the 2024 Burger Master.
The event will last an entire week, starting on April 29 and concluding on Sunday, May 5. Each participating burger has a set price of COP$18.000, which is a below-average price for some of the restaurants. Participating burgers can be ranked in the Tulio Recomienda App or the webpage https://tuliorecomienda.com/, and a winner will be subsequently chosen.
